The past two weekends in North Florida have been host to the always popular and well attended Parade of Homes. The Parade is the brainchild and hardwork of the Sales and Marketing Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and what a great job they did yet again this year. Charming In-Fill Neighborhood
Toward the end of last year, we had the opportunity to acquire 7 homesites located on Kelsey Place off of Scott Mill Rd in Mandarin. With urban sprawl in full effect for the last 50 years in Jacksonville, we are fast erasing the rural expanse between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. Developers, Builders and yes you the Customers have clamored to move further and further out which has created a niche market for small In-Fill Neighborhoods. They are few and far between, but every once in a while a truly great opportunity pops up. As the old adage in real estate goes, "Location, Location, Location!"
Kelsey Place is exceptional in both location and feel. This small quaint street off of Scott Mill Rd. leads back to the St. Johns River. Many of the homes built previously on the street were completed approximately twenty years ago and are full of charm and diversity. Busy, Busy, Busy!
Wow, I really have no excuse for the apparent sabbatical I took from the blog. We are building homes again and that is a very good thing and I suppose I let that get in the way of keeping you the public in the know about all things Dostie Homes. Look alive people because updates will be headed your way. We are officially under construction on new Estate Homes in Palencia, Kelsey Place and Glen Kernan, with a new Show Home slated to start in Pablo Creek Reserve by April.
The Village Center at Palencia has notched its first sale just as the paint was drying so we are back to the planning phase in that community for a new inventory home.
Lot 132 Pablo Creek has found a happy family and we could not be more pleased with our first home sale in this community.
We have also made a great new contact on the photography end. Deremer Studios, www.deremerstudios.com , has become a valuable trade partner of Dostie Homes and you will see quite a bit of their work on our blog and website in the near future.
